What Serbia bought in June: the price of the average basket

June's average basket, its price, and the three categories that moved it most — from the panel export.

Kinta panel team

Every month, the Kinta panel adds up what registers actually printed — at the item level, anonymized, never below 20 households per data point. Here’s what the numbers said for June.

Average basket: 2,437 RSD

The price of the average basket in June was 2,437 RSD, slightly up from May. The increase doesn’t come from one category, but from three that overlapped in the same period.

Three categories that moved the basket

  1. Dairy products — continued slow price growth, alongside stable consumption.
  2. Fresh fruit and vegetables — a seasonal jump, but also higher purchase frequency.
  3. Soft drinks — summer consumption patterns arrived earlier than last year.

None of these shifts is a surprise on its own — but together they explain almost the entire difference in basket price compared to May.
